TERRY ![]() That's me, Terry. I'm the one who's really into all this movie stuff. Although I'm not a designated writer or anything, I usually end up writing the scripts and coming up with the main ideas. Still, I couldn't do it without the help of my friends here. One man cannot make a movie on his own. Even the smallest budget movie (I think our lowest budget ever has been, excluding the cost of my camera, $0.00) needs actors, camera operators, and all that. My main jobs are Directing and Editing. MATT ![]() Matt was the mastermind behind the very first movie we ever made: How To Defend Yourself From Fruit (Not Gays, Regular Fruits)(although that last bit never made it into the actual movie), which was a shameless copying of Monty Python's Flying Circus. We're big fans. Anyway, he directed and shot that movie, which pretty much consisted of his brother and this other kid throwing food at each other. And then his brother got shot. That was fun. and it provided me with editing experience. Other than that, Matt is usually found behind the camera, or messing with special effects - like the one time he made fake blood and dribbled it all over my backyard. VICKY ![]() The beautiful and talented Victoria. She proved her worth beyond any possible doubt on our major project, Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. She's a gifted actor, and good at filming on the spot. One or two brief rehearsals, and she's ready to go. She also spent a lot of time behind the camera on YTT, which provided some very interesting results. Currently, Vicky is helping me write our next project, the basic premise of which was her idea. ROSARIO ![]() Rosario co-starred with Vicky and me in Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrowas Steve. Maybe a bit reluctant at first, but he ended up being a vital part of the production. He earned a little bit of a reputation as being a one-take wonder. Mostly cause when we film we just make stuff up loosely based off the script but, a lot of the time if I hadn't started laughing we would've gotten stuff done in one take. But that's me. Hopefully, Rosario will be assisting us more in the future with the audio problems that have been giving me hell. |
There's always been a passion for film in my heart. I'm Terry Bartowski, a 16-year old amateur filmmaker living in Syracuse, New York. When I was younger, I enjoyed playing around with my dad's old video camera. In April of 2005, I bought a video camera for myself. Not long after that, my friend Matt and I made a short sketch as a homage to Monty Python's Flying Circus. The now infamous "Fruit" video was my first real experience with filming and editing. Also in that year, I wrote a short story called No Rest, which I adapted into a script to make into a movie. Well, No Restnever quite made it to production. Despite the preparation I did for filming, my efforts (and the efforts of others) never really came to fruition. Summer 2005 just went by before I got done everything I wanted to do. Still, it was a significant learning experience, especially where writing and producing a script is concerned. When school started I obviously had less free time. Despite that, we managed to make three movies over the course of the school year. In my opinion, each one was better than the next. A lot of credit here goes to Mr. Chapman, my AP English teacher, for giving me the creative freedom to do what I wanted with the class. On two occasions we made a movie as a project for the class, including Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrowwhich to date is the biggest project we've ever done. Now that summer's upon us, there may be bigger projects on the horizon, or at least bigger ideas. | |||
